Mistakes happen. Not only do they happen, they are guaranteed. Irrespective of your age, colour, sex, position, rank, knowledge, and level etc, it’s common to every human being. The only way you won’t make mistakes is if you don’t do anything, and that itself is a mistake. To many they are afraid to try something new because they feel they might make an error. They are both right and wrong. Yes, they will probably make errors but it is good to understand that errors go with the territory. You will never accomplish great or worthwhile things without risk and risk generally means great mistake potential.
You are probably reading this with the help of light bulbs invented by Thomas Edison. He made over a thousand light bulbs that didn’t work. The world would have called them mistakes. He said he learned a thousand ways not to make a light bulb. The way to avoid mistakes is experience. The way to get experience – Mistakes. And what is the driving force despite the mistakes u make. It’s the Education and Knowledge you have about what you are doing. Of course repeating the same mistake for several times is nothing worth to be credited. It could be referred as blunders.
Don’t feel bad because you messed up with something. Don’t be afraid to venture out into a good thing because you are afraid that you might mess up. Remember, you don’t drown because you fall into the water; you drown because you fail to get out. And even if you have obtained a Bachelor Degree or a Masters Degree in swimming, you can’t escape without drowning if you don’t have enough experience. We are talking about a technical field and we are in a technical environment.
‘We have to keep trying things we’re not sure we can pull off. If we just do the things we know we can do… you don’t grow as much. You gotta take those chances on making those big mistakes’. (by Cybill Shepherd)
So when someone just obtains a Masters Degree or Bachelor degree doesn’t mean that he/she deserves to be the head of the department. When a staff in the senior management makes a mistake doesn’t mean he/she has to be demoted. They may be well-behaved people with experience in their field of work. We are not supposed to leave them behind. If old is gold they too are as precious as gold.
Yes, as some of you have mentioned, we do have lot of corrupted goody-goody staffs among the so-called senior management. Specially those who use the resources of the Company for their personal purposes. They need to be removed one or the other way. I argue you guys to do some productive work in a fruitful manner to remove them. I wonder just writing an article on a website is enough? People like me are not that courageous to come forward by all the means. Indeed, we are there to support you spiritually, and may be with your support one day we will come forward with you breaking the barriers. SO PLEASE do some productive work to reform MTCC. And it will be more striking, if you give a name to this work or project. You can do it. Where there is a will, there will be a way.
